Smoked Salmon Pizza
This amazingly decadent breakfast pizza was invented by Wolfgang Puck at his landmark restaurant Spago but has been served at most of his venues. Here pictured with Soft Scrambled Eggs with Chives.
Don’t get me started here. This is the cuisine of my childhood, best known for deli fare with sky-high corned beef and pastrami sandwiches as well as a variety of smoked fish but includes many cooked recipes the most famous probably being matzoh ball soup. Other dishes that come to mind are cabbage rolls and cabbage soup, roast brisket, tzimmes, a sweet and savory stew, kasha varnishikes, a grain dish made from barley groats with bowtie pasta, blintzes, a rolled crepe filled with a sweet cream filling and my all-time favorite potato pancakes.
